THABO Molokoane wears many hats.
If he is not chasing breaking stories in the country, he's in studio presenting current affairs or pursuing his new interest in medicine.
The 34-year-old from a small township of Oukasie in Brits, North West always wanted to come out of poverty.
And ever since he started working, he hasn't stopped.
He told Daily Sun that his journey started in 2008 after he completed his matric.
"I joined Letlhabile Community Radio (LCR FM) as a news anchor. That's is where I started crafting my work," he said.
He said life was difficult for him when he was young as both his parents were unemployed.
"It felt like I was wasting my time because I wasn't getting paid," he said.
He said his parents' support has always pushed him to work harder.

"Their support was always my motivator because some family members and friends were discouraging me, saying there's nothing special about this journalism career," he said.
He said he quit his job and worked for different NGOs such as Love Life and later worked as a cashier in the retail space.
"My parents were struggling to provide for me and my siblings hence I took it upon myself to look for a job and assist. After four years I saw that my first love was journalism and then returned to Madibeng FM 105.3 as a presenter and news anchor. I was later promoted to news editor where I mentored a few graduates from TUT, UJ and Boston, providing them with the necessary skills in the field of broadcasting," he said.
Thabo said opportunities started trickling in.
"In 2019 I joined Joburg-based talk radio station Power 987 (Power FM) as a reporter, anchor, producer and desk news editor. The station, which I am still part of to date, has been very influential in my growth both personally and financially as I am able fund my studies. It has even assisted me in helping my mother to acquire her teaching diploma. She is now studying towards a BEd in Education and working as a primary school teacher," he said.
He said that he is also in the medical field.
"I have been in the clinical medicine space for one year now and the journey has been wonderful as you get to learn more about interactive medicine and healing," he said.
