SOUTH Africans living abroad often express their longing for authentic Mzansi food.
A while ago, singer Tyla shared in an interview that she always ensures she has a supply of maize meal to make pap.
In a recent post, Tyla mentioned missing boerewors rolls. She wrote: "I miss boerewors rolls, Yoh!"
Former Miss South Africa Shudufhadzo Musida, who is pursuing her studies in America, also chimed in, saying she misses biltong.
She said: "I thought I caught a whiff of biltong today and I almost cried."
A few years ago, former Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi sparked conversation when she revealed she missed Aromat spice while in New York.

Other South Africans living abroad have mentioned missing a variety of foods, including tin fish, rooibos tea, Rajah spices, Knorrox, Six Gun spice, Jungle Oats, peanut butter, custard, Koo beans, samp, and Weet-Bix to name a few.

To satisfy their cravings, some people resort to ordering authentic Mzansi products from South African shops abroad, like those run by well-known cook Fikile Zungu or ask family members to send them their favorite items.
Others make sure to pack suitcases full of beloved treats before heading overseas.
