EVERY Tuesday, Robert Mazibuko used to cut the policemen's hair.
What happened
On Tuesday, 16 January, the 57-year-old, who worked near the Barberton Magistrates Court, was allegedly mistaken for a rival gang and was stabbed several times following a scuffle between two rival gangs in Mamba in Barberton, Mpumalanga.
It's alleged that Robert was about to leave when a group of men started attacking him. He was allegedly attacked with golf sticks and stabbed all over his body. He died at the scene.
The family speaks
His widow, Lillian Mazibuko, told Daily Sun that her husband was not part of the rival gang and that he was there going about his business of cutting people's hair and selling items.
She said the family is still shaken and hurt over what happened. Lillian said her husband was a good person and wasn't violent man.
He was there to cut people's hair
"He was not there to fight. He was there to cut people's hair, including the police. His sin was that he was staying at the hostel. It's unfortunate that when he was about to leave, he was attacked and killed," she said.

Lillian urged the police to throw her husband's killers behind bars as this would bring closure to the family.
Alleged killers appear in court
On Tuesday, 23 January, the six men accused of Robert's murder appeared in court and the state requested that the case be moved to Mbombela for safety reasons.
The matter was postponed to Wednesday, 31 January to continue the bail hearing.
