Ace Magashule, leader of the ACT, was publicly confronted by Pulane Leronti over unfulfilled promises.

ACE Magashule, the former ANC secretary-general, former Free State premier, and current leader of the African Congress for Transformation (ACT), faced a public confrontation from a young woman, Pulane Leronti, who labeled him the "liar of the century."

A trending video shows Leronti boldly challenging Magashule over unmet promises, including failing to pay her university tuition fees and not refurbishing asbestos roofs in Mangaung Metro Municipality's ward 28.

Leronti expressed her disappointment during a community meeting in Botshabelo, Free State, on Thursday, 23 May.

"Ntate Magashule, you promised to support my education at the Black Mountain Youth Conference in 2017, leading to my dropout due to non-payment. Despite my efforts to seek help from your office, I received none," she recounted.

She further criticized Magashule for not delivering on his promise to refurbish asbestos houses during the 2021 by-elections in ward 28, highlighting the community's ongoing suffering and a specific unfulfilled promise to build a house for an elderly resident by December 2021.

Magashule, provoked by Leronti's accusations, dismissed her concerns by emphasising her ANC affiliation.

"I won't respond to an ANC member. You have the right to stay in your party. Why should I respond to an ANC member when ANC leaders serve only their comrades?" he said, ultimately ignoring Leronti's demands for accountability.
