Free state Premier Mxolisi Dukwana has welcomed his party decision to remove him

ANC provincial secretary Polediso Motsoeneng stated that party deployees should not think they're permanent in their respective positions.

THE African National Congress (ANC) has agreed that it has removed Free State Premier Mxolisi Dukwana from office with immediate effect.

ANC provincial secretary Polediso Motsoeneng stated that party deployees should not think they're permanent in their respective positions.

In an interview with Daily Sun outside the Free State legislature on Friday, 14 June, Motsoeneng said it's the priority of the party to deploy and redeploy where necessary.

"The party has reached an agreement to remove Mr Dukwana and deploy Maqueen Letshoha-Mathae. ANC is not prescriptive to individuals. We are deploying our members based on the party's intentions to achieve a particular assignment.

"There's no guarantee that a deployee will stay forever. ANC has the prerogative to send its members and assign them. A deployee can perform far better than anyone else, but the party will feel to redirect the skill and expertise somewhere else," he said.

Motsoeneng disputed the allegations of division within the party.

Regarding Dukwana's responsibility, Motsoeneng stated that he's still a member of the legislature.

Meanwhile, former ANC secretary-general Ace Magashule said that Dukwana was used by capitalists to destroy him, and the tables turned on him.

"I advised the man at the beginning. We are still good brothers. I told him this was politics long ago and that they're not going to use him. They have used him and dumped him," he said

He advised Dukwana to keep his dignity and raise his head high.

Magashule decided not to attend the first inaugural sitting of the provincial legislature to occupy the one seat he acquired from the recent national and provincial elections.

Dukwana has welcomed his removal from the office.
