HE is friendly with his neighbours and even greets whenever he passes them.
His neighbours started to refer to him as the friendly guy.
But they didn't know what was happening behind his high-walled RDP house which has cameras and an electric fence.

On Friday, 25 October, neighbours in Langaville, Tsakani, Ekurhuleni, were shocked when cops pounced on their friendly neighbour.
Inside the RDP, they found a well-organised distillery system, with bottles of strong spirits lined up seemingly to be taken to customers.

There was also distilling equipment, a dispensary and a drum filled with a liquid believed to be used to make spirits.
It seems the "distiller" knew what he was doing, the only problem is he had no licence to conduct his booze business.
His equipment was confiscated on Friday, 25 October.

The man told police he delivered his booze to various parties and other gatherings.
Asked how he knew if his product was good for consumption, he said he tasted it before he delivered it to customers.
Warrant Officer Majang Skalkie, acting spokeswoman for Ekurhuleni district police, said police received a tip-off and pounced on the suspect for dealing in the illegal sale of alcohol.

But neighbours said they didn't know what he was doing.
"We didn't know. We would see him come and go in his van, but didn't take notice. We suspect the stock was coming in at night," said one resident.

The man is expected to appear in court soon.
