MUNICIPALITY employees at Emabhodweni in Katlehong, Ekurhuleni, have raised concerns about workplace infrastructure failure.
Last month, part of the car park collapsed, damaging several vehicles, including some belonging to the municipality.
A worker, who asked not to be named, said the incident was reported to Ekurhuleni head office in Germiston.
"It's been three weeks since the car park collapsed, and some vehicles are still trapped under the rubble. We were told officials would come to assess the damage, write an accident report, and take photographs, but nothing has been done," said the worker.
Another employee expressed frustration over the maspala's failure to repair the office's main gate.
"The gate is broken, and people can access the building even after hours. The municipality must fix this before something serious happens," he said.

Concerned resident Paul Mbedu also criticised the state of the offices, calling it an embarrassment.
"If they cannot fix their own offices, how can residents expect service delivery? With the gate not working, criminals can easily gain access, cause damage, or even steal parts of the damaged carport structure and the steel from the gate," said Paul.
Ekurhuleni municipality spokesman Zweli Dlamini said the structure was blown by the wind and collapsed on Friday, 19 September, affecting two municipal vehicles and one belonging to Eskom.
"It was immediately reported to Loss Control, and further investigations are underway. We are waiting for the Loss Control report, which will be forwarded to our insurers before anything can be done.
"Unfortunately, that's the process, and we must follow it. Regarding the gate, this is also receiving attention," said Dlamini.
He dismissed as untrue allegations that the gate is not functional.
Meanwhile, a security guard opens and shuts the gate manually until it's fixed.
"At night, it is locked, and there is also security personnel there. So, this has been blown out of proportion," said Dlamini.
