A GOGO'S misery has come to an end.
This after the man who turned her life around after he raped her has finally been sentenced.
Sabelo Buthelezi from Ekurhuleni was sentenced to 18 years in prison by the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court on Monday, 16 September.
The sentence comes after the case was marred by countless delays, especially from the defence side, which later saw the magistrate slamming the defence for dragging its feet.
Reacting to the outcome, gogo said she could finally let out a sigh of relief.
"Finally, it's done. The man who raped me is behind bars. The sentence is enough for him, and the court did a good thing. I'm happy."
Gogo added that with the case concluded, she can now focus on healing and turning her attention to her son.
On 21 February 2023, Daily Sun published gogo's horror ordeal under the headline: SCARED GOGO: ‘He raped me until morning'.
She was raped through the night of 7 January 2023 until the morning of 8 January.

When she opened a rape case, the police allegedly released the man the next day.
When she went to inquire, the investigating officer allegedly bought her KFC and a six-pack of beer.
She was also allegedly told the man would pay her R1 000 if she dropped the charges.
Since then, gogo has suffered secondary victimisation from neighbours, who allegedly cursed her and claimed she was a lying drunkard.
These comments led her to sell her home and buy a new house.
Alcohol became gogo's escape from her pain, and her son witnessed all of this.
Non-profit organisation Kathorus Parliament director Pearl Mazibuko, who has been at the forefront of getting justice for gogo, welcomed the sentence and was hopeful that she can finally heal.
