LIMPOPO Premier Dr Phophi Ramathuba has announced her team of MECs for the seventh administration.
This comes after she was appointed and sworn in as the province's first female premier since the dawn of democracy on Friday, 14 June, at the Limpopo Legislature in Lebowakgomo.
She announced her MECs on Tuesday afternoon, 18 June, in Polokwane, stating that they'll serve alongside her in their collective mission to advance the development and prosperity of the province.
Ramathuba has appointed Dieketseng Mashego as the Health MEC, Jerry Maseko as MEC for Sports, Arts, and Culture, Kgabo Mahoai as MEC for Treasury, Tshitereke Matibe as MEC for Economic Development, Environment, and Tourism, Ernest Rachoene as MEV for Public Works, Roads, and Infrastructure, and Violet Mathye as Transport and Community Safety MEC.
She also reappointed Mavhungu Lerule-Ramakhanya as Education MEC, Basikopo Makamu as MEC for Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs, Florence Radzilani as Social Development MEC, and Nakedi Kekana as MEC for Agriculture and Rural Development.
Lerule-Ramakhanya, Makamu, Radzilani and Kekana are the only returning MECs who served under former premier Stan Mathabatha.
Ramathuba said the chosen MECs bring a wealth of experience, dedication, and a deep commitment to serving the people.

"They have been chosen for their proven track records, their expertise in their respective fields, and their unwavering commitment to the values and principles that underpin our democracy," Ramathuba said.
She said as they embark on this journey together, their primary focus will be on addressing the pressing challenges that the province faces.
"They include economic growth, unemployment, job creation, industrialisation, agriculture and rural development, water provision, roads and general infrastructure development, healthcare, education and crime," she said.
Ramathuba said they're committed to fostering an inclusive and transparent government that works tirelessly to improve the lives of all its citizens.
"The MECs will be tasked with specific portfolios, each critical to the holistic development of our province. They'll be expected to lead with integrity, accountability, and a relentless drive to achieve tangible results," she said.
