BRYANSTON Mamelodi Sundowns supporters donated 200 pairs of school shoes, T-shirts, and party packs.
The chairman of the branch, Dr Victor Maleka, said the purpose of it is to give back to the community.
He said that the parents and teachers, and hopefully the children, will be part of Sundowns supporters.
Dr Maleka said as a supporter branch and Sundowns team, they occasionally do this in all provinces.
He said they chose Musenga Vhadzimu Primary School in Diepsloot because the school children need donations.
Sundowns supporters donated at the school on Friday, 1 March.
"This makes us proud to be Sundowns supporters, and making a difference in our communities makes us feel fulfilled," he said.

He said that there will be more similar initiatives around the country.
"This is part of Sundowns culture to give back to the communities," he said.
Maleka said he supports Sundowns because it's a team that looks after its people.
He said he has been part of Sundowns for over five years and feels at home.
Maleka, originally from Mamelodi, said his call to people is to come to the winning team and be always happy.
"At Sundowns, we are stress-free and forever happy," he said.

School principal Rose Segale said that she is grateful for the donation. She said that most children are from poor backgrounds, and such a donation is important.
"We appreciate any donation because a lot of parents are not working. Shoes are a commodity that children need and will want to have throughout school."
Maleka said all the shoes are donated for Grade 4s.
School head boy and Grade 7 learner Jonas Ramoroka (12) said he is grateful for the donation and will help many needy children.
The learners were happy and smiling after receiving the shoes, especially the Sundowns t-shirts.
