CAR crash claims four lives.
Four people were killed on Sunday morning, 5 October following a head-on collision between a light delivery vehicle and a sedan on the N2 road between Piet Retief and Pongola.
According to Mpumalanga Community Safety spokesman, Moeti Mmusi, three of the deceased, two men and one woman, including the driver, were occupants in the sedan.

"The fourth person, a woman, was a pedestrian whose body was found closer to the wreckage of the delivery vehicle. All victims died at the scene. The male driver of the delivery vehicle and a child passenger sustained serious injuries and were subsequently rushed to the nearby hospital in eMkhondo," he said
Mmusi said an investigation into the crash is underway, however, reckless driving cannot be ruled out at this stage.
He further appealed to motorists to be cautious.
