THE planning for the ANC's 113th birthday is at 99 percent.
This is what Captain Patrick Coetzee, lead planning officer from the presidential protection service, told Daily Sun on Friday afternoon, 10 January.
He said their preparations started 2 months ago for the event, which was led from the president's office.

The ANC will host its celebration rally at Nelson Mandela Park Stadium in Khayelitsha, Cape Town, on Saturday, 11 January.
ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa will also deliver the January 8 Statement, which maps out the organisation's programme of action for the year.

Coetzee said: "The event is significant because it's for the first time the ANC is bringing the January 8 Statement to the people of Cape Town."
He said they are expecting about 22 000 people inside the stadium and about 10 000 people in overflow areas.
He emphasised that the safety of supporters and leaders is their top priority.
He said the gates will open at 7am.
"I can safely say we are 99 percent ready for the event. We are still putting some small things into place, as the finalisation of the whole plan will be done this afternoon.
