THE high-profile Senzo Meyiwa murder trial resumes in the North Gauteng High Court on Monday, 14 April.
The trial resumes after a two-month adjournment.
Five men, Muzi Sibiya, Bongani Ntanzi, Mthobisi Mncube, Mthokoziseni Maphisa, and Fisokuhle Ntuli, face charges of murder, attempted murder, aggravated robbery, possession of an unlicensed firearm, and possession of ammunition.
The charges relate to the fatal shooting of Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates captain Senzo Meyiwa on 26 October 2014 at the Vosloorus home of his then girlfriend, singer Kelly Khumalo.

The trial, which began in April 2022, has included testimony from more than 15 witnesses, such as forensic experts, neighbours, and people who were inside the house on that fateful night.
Proceedings were previously delayed after Advocate Charles Mnisi, representing accused one Muzi Sibiya, sought more time to prepare for cross-examining the State's lead investigator, Brigadier Bongani Gininda.
This was also followed by the death of Sibiya's former lawyer, Thulani Mngomezulu in December 2024.
Gininda, the State's final witness, is expected to conclude his cross-examination this week.
Following this, the defence is expected to call its witnesses.
