PASSENGERS on-board a United Airlines flight to Newark Airport were left fearing for their lives on Monday, 17 October, after a garter snake slithered underneath their seats.
According to Daily Mail, the unexpected reptile was spotted just after United Airlines flight 2038 arrived at Newark after a two-hour flight from Tampa International.
It is reported that the scary creature made an appearance just as passengers were about to disembark the aircraft.
According to Port Authority of New York, cops met the plane at its gate and removed the snake.

Garter snakes are reportedly harmless to humans and are often found in the fields.
"However, studies in the early 2000s showed that garter snakes can, in fact, produce neurotoxic venom. But, the amount of comparatively mild poison they secrete cannot seriously injure or harm humans," Daily Mail reported.
This incident surely reminded some passengers of the 2006 movie thriller, Snakes on a Plane. On the movie, an FBI agent takes on a plane full of deadly venomous snakes, deliberately released to kill a witness.
A representative for United said crew members were alerted by passengers and called authorities to take care of the situation.
