The family of Zakhele Dlamini, who was killed during an alleged umjolo hostage drama, need justice.
Dlamini (42) from Mnisi Section in Katlehong, Ekurhuleni, lost his life attempting to mediate in a heated argument between a couple.
He was shot twice, and the suspect held him hostage, and he died in the pool of blood.
On Thursday, 6 June, the suspect (40) appeared in the Pam Ridge Magistrates Court.
The suspect, who is facing charges of murder, kidnapping, and possession of an unlicensed firearm, was not asked to plead.

The case was postponed until Wednesday, 26 June, for bail application.
Speaking outside the court, the family and Neighbours said the suspect should not be given bail.
Philisiwe Dzai said she can't come to terms with the death of his brother.
"Since my brother died, I've been sick, and doctors told me I have a stress.
"I cry every time when I think of my brother, and it's difficult to sleep at night," said Dzai.
She said the suspect had robbed them of their brother, who had so much respect and loved everyone.
"He's gone forever; all we need is to see justice for his death," said Dzai.
Zakhele's niece, Yamkela Mounyiswa, said her uncle didn't deserve to die like this.
"He wanted to make peace between the couple that was fighting; unfortunately, he was shot and killed in the process.
"The suspect showed no remorse after he shot him because he held him hostage while injured.
"The suspect doesn't deserve bail," she concluded.
One of the family neighbours, Zodwa Mpangula, said Zakhele didn't have any issues with anyone.
"His death has left us traumatised, especially the way he was killed.
"The suspect showed no remorse; even after he saw Zakhele injured, he made sure he did not get medical assistance.
"The suspect is now sitting in prison enjoying free meals, yet the family, friends and neighbours of Zakhele are left with pain and trauma," said Mpangula.
