TWO mums are reeling in shock after their daughters were brutally killed.
One of the mums is Masechaba Khabanyane, who was looking forward to celebrating her daughter Itumeleng's birthday on 24 September and Mary Tshabalala, who was excited that her daughter Palesa Moloi (28) was moving back home.
The hopes, dreams and hearts of the two mum from Palm Ridge in Ekurhuleni were shattered after their daughters were found dead with gunshot wounds.
Itumeleng's mum speaks
Masechaba said: "Instead of throwing her a party and celebrating her 24th birthday, we had to bury my daughter on 23 September."
She said she last spoke to her daughter on 9 September while she was at work.
"She and her friend went out on 9 September and never came back," said Masechaba.
"I tried to call her, but her phone was off. On 13 September, two men who live in our area came to my house and informed me that two women were found dead in Elsburg in Ekurhuleni.

"They showed me the photos, one of the girls was my daughter. I saw her body lying on the veld.
"My daughter suffered before she was allegedly killed," she said, adding that she hoped cops would find the suspects.
"These perpetrators should be arrested and rot in jail.
"They left me with a wound that will never heal."

The struggle to accept
Palesa's mum Mary said she was struggling to understand what happened.
She said her daughter, who has a seven-year-old son, and her friends went to a nightclub in Germiston on 9 September.
She said: "Their friends came back on Saturday morning but Palesa and Itumeleng decided to stay behind.
"Sadly their night out ended in death as they were found dead on 13 September."

Mary said her daughter was shot three times and her body was found half naked.
"My daughter was renting a room but she lost her job. On 8 September, she brought her clothes and furniture as she was planning to come back home.

"We are shocked about what happened to them, and what is worse is that they were shot in the back of their heads. This shows the evil men wanted to make sure they left them dead," said Mary.
The two friends were buried at Kromvei Cemetery in Alberton and had separate funeral services held in Palm Ridge on Saturday, 23 September.
Cops confirm the double murder
Police spokeswoman Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi confirmed the incident.
"The two women sustained gunshot wounds. For now, our preliminary investigation suggests that they were killed in a different place and just dropped at the veld."
The colonel confirmed two murder cases had been opened for further investigation.
