CAPE TOWN residents are still in shock.
This comes after a woman was shot dead in broad daylight in the parking area of the Mfuleni cop shp in Blue Downs on Monday, 19 May.
The 25-year-old victim was sitting inside a red VW Polo when gunmen opened fire on her, killing her before she could step out of the vehicle. The motive for the killing remains unclear, and no arrests have been made.
Pearl Rafani, a resident of Mfuleni, said she had just left the nearby court with a friend when they heard the gunshots.
"I was walking from court with my friend after attending a court case when we heard gunshots. What shocked us was that the gunshots were coming from the direction of the police station," claimed Pearl.
She said moments later, they saw a vehicle speeding away from the scene. When they reached the police station, a crowd had already gathered around the red Polo.
