But organisers are keeping most of their cards close to their chest, promising to surprise attendees with more big-name presenters and performers on the night.
Top gospel stars Ayanda Ntanzi, Sbu Noah and Xola Toto have been confirmed as performers for the event, which will be held at the Durban ICC on Sunday, 15 November 2026.
The 19th edition of the prestigious awards, themed “Sound of Growth”, honours outstanding achievements in the gospel music industry.

Awards executive producer Bishop Mpendulo Nkambule, husband of the late founder Zanele Mbokazi-Nkambule, said they’re deliberately holding back announcements to build excitement.
“I won’t reveal all the awards presenters and performers because we want to surprise the attendees and make them happy during the ceremony,” he said.
“We’re just revealing a few names to show people what to expect on the day.”
Bishop Nkambule thanked those who’ve already bought tickets and confirmed that tickets are still available.
“We thank all the musicians and all those presenting awards and working with us to make this ceremony a success,” he said.
The awards were founded by the late Zanele Mbokazi-Nkambule in 2008. She passed away in 2024.
The event recently secured a major boost when the Icebolethu Group came on board as headline sponsor, leading to the awards being renamed the Icebolethu Crown Gospel Music Awards.
Bishop Nkambule expressed gratitude for the partnership.
“We thank Icebolethu for their support and sponsorship. This is a partnership that will go far,” he said.
