PHAKELUMTHAKATHI calls for prayer.
Actor and activist Nkosikhona "Phakelumthakathi" Ndabandaba is seeking divine intervention amid his campaign to remove undocumented foreigners from Mzansi before the Tuesday, 30 June 2026 deadline for undocumented foreigners to leave the country.
The date has become a major talking point in Mzansi, with some people describing it as a potential day of conflict. However, Phakelumthakathi has rejected that view.
He said 30 June will not be a "war day" and that he'll pray for peace and for opportunists not to hijack the day and turn it violent.
Mountain prayer planned
Phakelumthakathi (45), from Nongoma in KZN, said South Africa's current situation reminds him of the past when communities prayed during difficult times.

He's preparing a three-day mountain prayer from 19 to 21 June 2026 at Entabeniyezulu Mountain in Nongoma.
The prayer gathering aims to ask God to help prevent unrest on 30 June.
The issue of undocumented foreigners remains a major topic in Mzansi, with Phakelumthakathi, former Vuma FM presenter Jacinta Ngobese Zuma and ex-Ukhozi FM presenter Ngizwe Mchunu among those who have led marches.
'We must pray first'
The actor, who has appeared in Shaka iLembe, Smoke & Mirrors and other productions, said prayer should come before action.
"Back then, when our old generations were facing wars, they would normally go to mountains and pray, and the current situation of our country regarding illegal immigrants is similar to war. We are trying to remind people that we also believe in God, and we know that we should report to Him before doing something," he said.
He said the gathering will also pray for leaders and government.
'30 June is not a war day'
Phakelumthakathi stressed that the deadline should not be viewed as a day of violence.
"We want people to know that the popular day, 30 June, is not a war day, and it is not like those illegal immigrants who are still here will be dead. We want people to know that, and we don't want that day to be hijacked by opportunists who don't understand our purpose," he said.
He added that he'll continue acting and promoting traditional culture through television productions.
