AMAPIANO star Mfana Kah Gogo is motivating matric pupils who failed and urged them not to not give up or hurt themselves.
The 19-year-old musician who finished his matric at Fundinduku Secondary School in Durban in 2022 stressed that failure is not the end of the road.
With Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga releasing the 2023 matric results on Thursday, 18 January, Mfana Kah Gogo, also known as Sipho Mbonambi, urged pupils to recognise that life is full of second chances.
"If you fall, there's a second chance as long as God has granted you another day,and there's another chance to pass. There are many people who failed matric, re-wrote it, and passed and those people are successful in life now. I was inspired by them when I was doing my matric in 2022," he said.

Mfana Kah Gogo, who hails from Zwelibomvu Village outside Pinetown in KZN, said school is important to help one back his or her talent.
"When I was doing my matric, I told myself that, fine I'm a musician but I need matric because I will not always be a musician. I want to encourage those who failed to continue to do their matric. There's still life and those who still wish to go back to school must do so.
"We have different talents, and we are using our talents in different ways. I want them to not compare themselves to others. I know it is not easy," he said.
Mfana Kah Gogo, who recently released two singles titled Phathaphatha and Smoke, said pupils should restore their confidence and know what they want in their lives.
Addressing the social issues, he urged pupils to recognise the conditions at home and take responsibility for creating positive change.
"Pupils must know the condition of their homes and know that they're the ones who will change it," he said.
He shared that in 2023 he took a gap year to raise funds for his tertiary education and now he's going to do a hospitality course and sing at the same time.
