AFTER Q Twins scooped two awards over the weekend, they're motivated to take their music to the rest of the continent and feature top African musicians.
The identical twins, Viggy and Virginia Qwabe from KwaDukuza in KZN, scooped the Duo/Collaboration of the Year and Most Streamed Song for Sobonana at the Basadi in Music Awards.
The awards were held at the Joburg Theatre on Saturday, 12 August to recognise women in music. They said after the win, they have requested their record label, Afrotainment, to get them artists from outside Mzansi to work with them on their songs.
Viggy said their song was being played in other countries and that encouraged them to work harder to cater to all African audiences.
"It shows us that we are doing well in the music industry, and we've planned to go outside the country and work with other African top artists," she said.

She said they're excited about winning as they didn't expect it.
"We were notified that we were nominated and were over the moon. We attended the ceremony not expecting we would win. We were more surprised when we scooped the Most Streamed Song because we were planning to leave the ceremony venue," she said.
Q Twins released their EP titled Words of Hope in November in 2022, and they said they were working on a new one.
"We took about a year not releasing because there are many new things that we want to introduce to our audience.
"Maybe before the end of August we will release a single to our fans to taste what our EP will be all about.
"In our upcoming EP we have many surprises," she said.
