MULTI-AWARD-WINNING singer and songwriter Busisiwe "CiCi" Twala is opening her arms and her heart to the next generation of artists.
The Ngidinge hitmaker is determined to guide and nurture young creatives, something she never had when she was starting out.
"I think people who are creators and writers and actual artists gravitate towards me, and I gravitate towards them because I see something that people tend to overlook in South Africa's real talent," said CiCi.
The 37-year-old star from Ladysmith, KZN, said she wants to create the kind of support system she once wished for.
"I want to be around, help, and guide them, because the game comes with a lot of pressure and people often have the wrong perception of what it really is," she said.

The songbird believes many young artists get lost in the hype instead of focusing on their craft.
"Sometimes, people get too excited about hype, but hype goes away. The lifespan of an artist can be three to five years. What keeps you alive is your humility, your respect for people, and how you treat others," said CiCi.
She also urged young musicians to value every platform that supports their work, especially traditional media.
"You have podcasts, but radio is still important. Those are the people who will still play your music even after your song stops trending on TikTok. They'll call you for interviews and keep your name alive when things are quiet. No matter what's trending, real music will always live it will never change."
