COMEDIAN and actor Simthande Myeza has suffered a severe seizure and was admitted to the hospital.
According to sources, the 26-year-old comedian from Kranskop in KZN, lost consciousness after he felt embarrassed during the Black Brain Pictures auditions held at Bat Centre in Durban on Sunday, 14 January.
He suffered a severe seizure and was admitted to a private hospital in Durban on Tuesday, 16 January.
After attending the auditions on Sunday, he wrote on his Facebook page that he was embarrassed and cried from the auditions to his home.
Simthande said what emotionally hurt him was that he was denied a chance to audition.
The comedian said a Black Brain Pictures casting coordinator, Nompilo Mwelase, denied him an opportunity by saying thank you and called the next auditionee before he auditioned.
A source close to Simthande told Daily Sun that he was emotionally disturbed.

"Since that audition, he was emotionally hurt because he preferred to be auditioned.
"He felt like he was less human or uglier to be in front of people," the source said.
Simthande's manager, Phila Dubazane, confirmed that Simthande had been admitted to the hospital.
"We can confirm that Simthande suffered a severe seizure on Tuesday night, and he was rushed to the hospital to receive treatment and now he's now recovering.
"We thank everyone who has been wishing him speedy recovery and prayed with his family," he said.
There was also a rumour that Simthande had died, but Phila denied that.
"We woke up with some misleading reports on social media suggesting that Simthande had died. These reports are inaccurate, misleading, and hurtful to Myeza's family and supporters," he said.
