ACTRESS Pamela Nomvete is heartbroken she can't come back home to Mzansi.
The 62-year-old former Generations star revealed that she's struggling to renew her South African passport.
She shared on Instagram that she was hurt that she couldn't come back to her ancestral land.
"I'm sitting here feeling despondent and in pain. In 1994 I went to my ancestral land, South Africa, having been born in exile and acquired my South African citizenship so I could vote for a black majority government.
"The South African government welcomed us exiles, happy for us to hold dual citizenship. This year my South African passport expired and now I am trying to renew it," she said.
Pamela said she's required to bring documents she doesn't have access to.
"I'm literally being told all over again to prove my South African citizenship and produce my late parents' documents, namely - their birth certificates and ID documents. My parents are now on the ancestral plain, so I am not able to get these papers from them," she said.

She said she went through the same thing in 1994.
"As a result, I cannot travel to my ancestral home because I am unable to produce evidence that, surely from 1994, the Home Affairs office should have on record! I went through hell and high water to produce this very evidence back then! I can't even travel on just my British passport because I have dual citizenship and therefore have to have both passports valid in order to travel," she wrote.
The actress said she felt she was still in exile.
"I'm heartbroken but shall still fight to get my passport and be recognised as a dual citizen, South African Brit born in Ethiopia! Surely, the world should be our playground. Once an exile, always an exile," Pamela wrote.
