The United States government announced that it would revoke the visas of several foreign nationals accused of publicly supporting or mocking the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

CONTROVERSIAL music executive Nhlamulo "Nota" Baloyi is facing trouble with US authorities.

His American visa was revoked after he made online comments about the death of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.

The 34-year-old media personality confirmed to Daily Sun that he received an email from the US Department of State informing him of the decision.

Nota said he was initially confused until he saw news reports on social media.

"When I got the email, I didn't know what it was about. I found out when I saw the tweet this morning. My visa has been revoked, but I'm going to reapply. I have gigs in the US in February next year," he said.

In a strongly worded statement, the US Department of State said, "The United States has no obligation to host foreigners who wish death on Americans."

Nota, however, insists he was misunderstood and denies celebrating Kirk's death.

He maintains that his comments were taken out of context and says he already issued an apology.

"There's nothing I said that mocked his death. I've got nothing to regret. I apologised to those who felt my post was insensitive," he told Daily Sun.

In a lengthy statement posted on social media, Nota clarified his stance and expressed remorse to those who may have been offended.

"I unconditionally apologise to anyone who found my post ill-timed or insensitive. I never intended to make light of the incident, and I deleted the post."

He further condemned all forms of violence, saying he had personally fled political threats in the past.

"I denounce violence of any kind. As a Christian and a conservative, I stand for free speech, just like Charlie Kirk did. I don't agree with everything he or Donald Trump says, but I believe this decision is unfair and hope it will be reviewed," he added.

Despite the setback, Nota says he remains optimistic that the issue will be resolved soon.

"I have faith that with due process, this can be rescinded. I'll keep doing what I love and preparing for my next chapter."
