JUST a few years ago, award-winning musician TNS was living on the streets, not knowing where his next meal would come from.
Today, he's helping others who are homeless and struggling.
The 21-year-old Umona singer, whose real name is Nkazimulo Ngema, has recently been giving away his clothes to people around Durban and has only kept about 10 outfits for himself.
Speaking to Daily Sun, he said he realised how much God had blessed him and he wanted to do the same for others.
"One day, it was raining and I saw how privileged I was to be living under a roof. Others didn't have that privilege, and I was one of them a few years ago," he said.

"I would go to sleep without food, not have a place to sleep. I would knock on different doors with no one opening."
"I decided to start a new wardrobe for myself and give away all my clothes. I went to different locations and distributed clothes," he said.
"I know how being poor feels and not having anyone to help you. That period was difficult and I remember I would knock on my family's doors and no one was there. Only my sister was present and willing to help."
TNS said he struggled after his grandparents died as his parents died long before.
"I looked like a street kid who didn't want to focus because I loved music. I got harsh punishments and I thought God didn't love me. But I always prayed and asked Him to help me," he said.
TNS said helping others made him feel alive.
