UKHOZI FM DJ Nonhlanhla Buthelezi, dubbed Mroza, started climbing the biggest mountain in Africa, Kilimanjaro, in 2019, and has never looked back.
For this year's journey, it's all systems go. She said she is more than ready to climb the mountain in Tanzania.
"I'm ready to climb that mountain. I know it's not easy, but I'll do it," said Mroza.
This year's journey, which is initiated by Mzansi's non-profit organisation, Mbumba Foundation, is set to honour former president Nelson Mandela and Tanzanian president Julius Nyerere who are the first African democratic presidents.
Mroza, who presents Ukhozi's breakfast show with Sipho "Sgqemeza" Mbatha, said what keeps her going to the mountain is the message that the journey delivers.

"We don't only climb the mountain for fun. But we do it to deliver a constructive message. This year, it's my biggest wish to use the mountain to discuss how we can protect children in Africa, especially young girls, from abuse.
"When you do something with purpose, even if you get tired, you're reminded of why you're there and gain strength to keep going. That's what's been happening to me since I started climbing the mountain. I get courage to go on every time I think of the reason why I'm there," said Mroza.
Other African countries, including Zambia, Mozambique, Swaziland and others, will also participate in the journey.
Mroza said climbing Kilimanjaro has also developed her.
"After climbing the mountain for the first time in 2019, I was encouraged to go back to school to further my studies. Now, I hold a postgraduate diploma in Project Management, which I obtained from Regent Business School. Hence, I say we climb the mountain with purpose," she said.
