Adulting women dribble their men!

THE power dynamics have shifted in Adulting season 3, and the women are no longer playing by the men's rules.

In previous seasons, Bonga, Mpho, Eric, and Vuyani made decisions that often left the women in their lives hurt and frustrated.

This time around, the women are taking control, shaking things up, and making sure the men feel their presence.

Lungile Duma, who plays Zithulele, Mpho's ex-wife, said her character has completely changed from the previous season.

"Last season, Zithulele was the nice wife, easy-going and forgiving. This season, she's bitter and relentless in Mpho's life. This brings out a version of her that's rude and aggressive. I believe love can bring out the best or worst versions of yourself, and for Zithu, she's at her worst," she said.

Bonga has always been the smooth-talking, level-headed one but his wife, Nkanyezi, is no longer letting things slide. Their biggest clash? Having children. Nkanyezi is not ready for a baby, but Bonga has other plans.

Londeka Sishi, who plays Nkanyezi, said her character is doing her best to open up despite past trauma.

"I think she makes an effort to really let her walls down. She has fallen in love with Bonga but still has quite a few triggers. We get to see her fight throughout the season," she said.

For the first time, Bonga finds himself feeling uncertain in his own home. Eric's relationship with Mampho is heating up, but he can't seem to shake his feelings for Minkie. His love life is a mess, and the women in his life are calling the shots.

Gaisang K. Noge, who plays Mampho, believes this season belongs to the women.

"I realised while reading the script that the ladies are the fire behind everything these men are going through, whether good or bad. They're the ignition to the heat these guys are feeling," she said.

Amid all the chaos, Mpho meets someone new, Naledi, played by Mapaseka Koetle. She's a mum and quickly becomes part of Mpho's life, adding another layer of drama.

Mapaseka teases how Naledi's presence will change things.

"She's a mum, and she becomes Mpho's love interest, which is going to be very interesting because Mpho has a lot of problems," she said.

She's also thrilled to be part of the Adulting cast. "When I got the call, I was so excited but also nervous. I've played Dintle for so long, and I wondered how people would receive me in a different role. But more than anything, I was up for the challenge," she said.

The final episode of Adulting season 3 will stream on Showmax from 19 April 2025.
