WHILE other families will be celebrating Christmas, things will be gloom for Busi Shezi.
This is because her husband has been missing since 24 December 2022.
Busi's husband, Siphesihle Mtshali (29) left home to buy booze at a local tavern and while there, got into a fight with members of the Basotho gang.
He was then knocked down by a speeding kombi while running away from the gang.

According to Busi (25) the kombi belonged to Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department. Witnesses in Lindelani near Kingsway in Benoni said the metro cop stopped and put Siphesihle in the car to take him to hospital.
But to this day, his family doesn't know which hospital he was taken to.
The said metro cop was arrested, and his trial is still going on. But Busi said the cop doesn't want to tell them where he took her husband.
"He said many contradictory things in court, saying he left him on the side of the road and somewhere during his testimony he talked about taking him to hospital. We don't which story to believe," said Busi.
The police said the metro cop is currently at Modderbee Prison in Benoni.

Busi said: "This year will be another Christmas without him. We just want to get closure. All I want is for him to show where he buried him. Receiving his bones will give us the closure we need."
The mother of three said that her kids keep asking about their father and she doesn't know what to say to them.
Busi said she's been to a sangoma who told her the father of her that Siphesihle was thrown in a river and was swept away.
"I have accepted that Siphesihle might not be alive, but getting his remains and the traffic officer telling us what happened to my husband will give us closure," she said.
Police spokeswoman Captain Nelda Sekgobela said a case of kidnapping was opened against the metro cop and the trial is still on.
She said the police are still searching for the victim.
