THE late former finance minister Tito Mboweni's elder son Tumelo Mboweni has been urged to take care of the ANC flag.
This is the flag that was used to cover Mboweni's casket during his funeral proceedings at the Nkowankowa Stadium in Tzaneen, Limpopo, on Saturday, 19 October.
To pay their last respects, the African National Congress (ANC) top officials carried the casket to the tent where his sons were seated to view his body for the last time.

Handing over the flag, ANC Chairman Gwede Mantashe said to Mboweni's son, "Please take care of this flag just like your father did. He loved it, and we hope you will also love it," he said.

Hundreds of mourners sang struggle songs as his body was being driven inside the stadium.
Mboweni's funeral can be described as one befitting a giant.
Former presidents, such as Thabo Mbeki, former deputy president David Mabuza, and party leader from the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Julius Malema, including media personalities, joined the residents of Tzaneen to say their last goodbyes.
Delegates from other neighbouring countries, including from Lesotho, also attended the funeral.
Speaking to Daily Sun, former minister and ANC NEC member Joe Maswanganyi said Mboweni was like a brother to him, who played a huge part in his political career.
"When he was in exile and I was still in school, I learnt about him and wished that one day I could be half of the man that he is."
"He was firm and stood his ground on everything that he believed in. The ANC has lost a giant in him," he said.
