BARCADI musician Enny Man Da Guitar misses the late Vusi Ma R5, who was shot and killed in Soshanguve, Tshwane in January 2023.
Enny, whose real name is Ernest Zwane, said whenever he's in studio playing music, Vusi Ma R5's voice is present.
He said his presence is still there.
"Our working relationship was too strong. I would remember him when I was doing production and he'd remember me when he did vocals," he said.
The 29-year-old from Lotus Gardens in Tshwane said Vusi Ma R5's death has affected his music career.
"I became the people's choice after his death. At the moment I'm the umbrella of bacardi. Most bacardi vocalists and DJs mostly come to me for songs," he said.
Enny Man Da Guitar said wherever bacardi is played or produced his name is there.
I'm very proud for the opportunity as bacardi was underrated and is now played in top places. Vusi Ma R5 taught me to be a soldier in music. His fame and glory are with me. He is shining in me in his grave. People see Vusi Ma R5 in me. Our difference is that he had a great voice and was a good dancer.
He said his song, Wuu is doing well and he promised fans more good music.
"Bacardi makes people crazy, and I love it because it has energy and it's powerful. I love being part of this genre and my dream has become reality," he said.
Enny Man Da Guitar said that he will launch Sbethe Gape Records soon and that people can also catch them on the bacardi reality show, Rekere on Moja Love coming soon.
His wife, Precious Mawela (25) said: "He loves bacardi. Working with him gives me exposure. At first I was jealous of him performing, but now I'm okay."

Habiba Makgatho, Tjovitjo Entertainment manager, said Enny Man Da Guitar is one of the best bacardi producers and any artist who works with him trends.
"I believe he'll represent bacardi well on the Moja Love show. After the death of Vusi Ma R5, we never thought he'd bounce back because it affected him badly.
"But I believe he turned that pain into power and will represent us well as Tjovitjo Entertainment and Tribal Records, as well as bacardi as a nation," she said.
