This was announced by the SABC in a press statement.

RAPPER JR ends the year on a high note.

The 41-year-old, whose real name is Tabure Thabo Bogopa Junior, will be hosting his show on SABC1 from Friday, 22 November.

JR's Feel Good Live Sessions show previously aired four episodes on YouTube.

Now, SABC1 viewers will get an exclusive viewing of an additional 10 episodes.

This was announced by the public broadcaster in a media statement.

The show, recorded as a 12-part series, features musicians offering a behind-the-scenes look at their albums.

"Created by musician JR Bogopa, JR's Feel Good Live Sessions feature a diverse line-up of both established and rising South African stars who offer viewers a raw and authentic look at their favourite artists, showcasing the rich tapestry of South African musical talent," the statement read.

The SABC said the vision for Feel Good Live Sessions has always been to give artists a platform where they can feel vulnerable, authentic, and unapologetically themselves.

"This space allows them to express their music and artistry in its purest form while offering audiences a rare, intimate glimpse into their creative process."

JR said they had to reassess their purpose.

"If this platform is about fostering meaningful connections between artists and their fans, then every step we take must reflect that mission. December is a special time in South Africa. It's when families reunite to celebrate the holidays. In that spirit, we're 'going home' to SABC1 for this new season."

He said the SABC, as a national broadcaster, has played a significant role in shaping the cultural fabric of the nation.

"It feels right to bring Feel Good Live Sessions to a channel that has given us so many shared memories over the years."

JR said partnering with SABC1 means more than just broadcasting a show.

"It's about amplifying the voices of some of South Africa's most talented artists and showcasing their artistry, accompanied by an incredible live band. Together, we're creating a show that is as meaningful to the artists as it is to their biggest supporters," he said.
