MOST people think she's full of herself, doesn't like people or that she's rude.
Metro FM newsreader, Zandile Hopa told Daily Sun she likes to be behind the scenes and is a shy person.
Zandile from East London in the Eastern Cape is part of Metro FM's Best Mornings team, together with DJ Sabby and Kandice.
Her career highlights include working on three drive-time shows: Best Thing Ever, with DJ Sabby, The Lady on Drive, with Khutso Theledi and The TouchDown, with Tbo Touch.
Zandile said when she's not on radio, she does voiceovers. She said she doesn't consider herself a celebrity.
"I am a news reader. I am not a celebrity. I am afraid of fame, and I don't want it. It's for other people, not for me. I don't think I am the right person for it. It needs someone with a personality who is flamboyant and outspoken, I am just a shy girl," she said.

She said when Metro listeners ask to take photos with her, she agrees.
"I can't be rude, so I just agree but after that I need to calm down," Zandile said.
Although she doesn't like the spotlight, Zandile enjoys meeting her listeners in person.
"I love them and every time we do OBs, the reception is amazing."
She said Metro has changed her life.
"I am from the Eastern Cape, I started on YFM and it was regional, no one in my family could listen to me on the radio. My dream was to end up at Metro FM and now I am there and everyone in my hometown can hear me," Zandile said.
She stressed that she's camera-shy.
"I hate attention, even now I'm shaking. I just want to sit in a corner and be myself," Zandile said.
