GOGO Sophie Mahlangu continues to make history with Ndebele art.
The inspirational artist has decorated a bicycle with beads that is set to impress in the US. The bicycle was bought by David Riep, an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado's Department of Arts and Art History.
The handover took place at gogo's home in Ga-Morwe near Siyabuswa on Sunday.
Gogo Sophie told Daily Sun: "It's an honour for me and the entire Ndebele nation to promote our culture abroad. I'm excited that my efforts to preserve our culture are bearing fruit. I feel honoured by the gesture. The Ndebele nation too is honoured. When I received the call for this order, I had mixed emotions.
"I've worked hard to decorate this bike with beads. Now that it's complete, I feel excited. It took me a lot of time to work on it. This will remain in the history books."

Professor Riep said he came to the country to do research on artefacts. He stated that the bike will be displayed at the University of Colorado.
"I'm happy to be here to see fabulous work done by Sophie Mahlangu. The State University of Colorado in the US has agreed to purchase the bike covered with beads. This is spectacular artwork, and we'll continue honouring her for the great work she does.
"We now take this beautiful piece of artwork with us, and it'll be on permanent display at the Gregory Art Museum for everyone in the state to see. We're proud to partner with Dr Mahlangu and we'll continue to do so," Prof Riep said.
