Zimdollar vs Mthandeni: Fight gets ugly

THE fight between Ukhozi FM presenter Zimiphi "Zimdollar" Biyela and maskandi star, Mthandeni Manqele, has gone to another level.

Mthandeni said he has forgiven Zimdollar and will not fight with her in public as he knows her personally.

But Zimdollar has denied this claim.

Their fight started during the Mother of All Maskandi Festival in Durban on Saturday, 6 April, which was organised by Zimdollar.

Mthandeni didn't arrive on time for his performance, which was 7pm, and ended up forcing his way on stage at about 9pm. But Zimdollar grabbed the microphone from Mthandeni during his performance and told him to voetsek, kicking him off stage.

Mthandeni said he has forgiven Zimdollar.

"She doesn't hate me. I know her personally and won't fight with her in front of people. I'll deal with her personally. I apologised for what Zimdollar did to me on stage. I asked all of those who were affected to forgive her. People have the wrong information about me, they think I'm rude. I'm not a disappointment. I'm a fun person who loves to laugh," he said.

Mthandeni agreed that he was late and missed his performance time, but he said no one should be kicked out because they were late.

But Zimdollar denied the claims that Mthandeni knew her personally.

She said he was defending himself because he was wrong.

"Mthandeni knows the truth that he doesn't know me personally as he claims. The thing about Mthandeni is he knows that many people fear him and that's why he does as he pleases. I want to tell him that the whole world can fear him, but I don't. He must respect his work and time," she said.

This was not the first time Zimdollar clashed with Mthandeni. During the Gcwalisa iMabhida Maskandi Festival in 2019, Mthandeni was not on the line-up, but he snuck on stage where Zimdollar was the MC, and she called the security guards to kick him out.
