ACTOR and musician Patrick Seleka Junior's onscreen character seems to be following him in real life.
Patrick from Seshego in Limpopo told Daily Sun that he has just landed a cooking and travel show called The Cook-A-Long.
The actor, who plays chef Katlego Petersen on SABC1's popular soapie Skeem Saam, said viewers are going to witness a lot of greatness and growth on this reality show.
The show is already on Netflix and available for streaming. He said this is one of the greatest things that has ever happened in his life.
"A couple of words come to mind excited, grateful, happy. The Cook-A-Long is an exquisite food cooking and travel show with a focus on 3 hero ingredients sourced from across 3 stunning farms in South Africa," Patrick said.
He said this is done to honour the fresh produce industry. Patrick said there's a group of celebrity chefs who have been called in to share their culinary knowledge and expertise with him on the show.

"Shooting this cooking show was a roller coaster. Seeing different provinces, different cities, meeting different people, gaining knowledge about various food or ingredients that exist in our country was very educational and exciting," he said.

The actor said that the team made this experience a whole lot easier and more fun for him.
"This experience taught me to have greater respect for our farmers and the workers. The energy that they put into planting and harvesting the ingredients is the same energy that I will put into every dish," Patrick said.

The actor said after all, "we have a very beautiful country with lots of great food".
