VUSI Nova (38) shares his spiritual journey with idlozi!
The Afro-soul singer and songwriter, whose real name is Vusi Nongxa, told Daily Sun that he was always told he was different.
Vusi Nova said he knew then that he would heal the nation with his music and his voice.

"I now know more about myself and feel better about myself after recently accepting my calling. This also inspires me to make a good sound. Even my new song Soze Ndixole, which I released on Friday, 1 September, was inspired by my spiritual journey. It's not easy, believe me. But I am grateful for all the teachings my ancestors have given to me," he said.
Vusi Nova said he believes he would bring healing to people through his music but is yet to attend initiation school.
"I only went to initiation school for manhood. I know I have a gift of healing others and I am happy that I'm healing them through my music gift for now," Vusi Nova said.
He said he prays that he heals people simply through his performances, adding that he also gained strength after losing his mum as it brought him closer to his guardian angels.
"Losing my mum was hard. It still feels like it happened yesterday. It was a long time ago, in 2006, but I gained a great ancestor.

"I feel like I would not be where I am now if she was still alive. She was my support and I feel I am closer to my ancestors now," he said.
Vusi Nova said he misses his mum a lot, as she was always rooting for him. He said she always told him to never give up on what he loves.
The musician recently left his former record label Muthaland to start his own record label, Nova Sounds.
