TV PERSONALITY Siphesihle Vazi is over the moon about his nomination in the Simon "Mabhunu" Sabela KZN Film and Television Awards.
Siphesihle, who is known for his presenting skills on the SABC1's Selimathunzi, said this was so unreal to him as he has been nominated for his role as Mlungusi Khoza on the canned Mzansi Magic show, The Queen.
He is nominated in the category of Best Actor.
The Joburg-based actor told Daily Sun he's grateful to everyone who helped him.
Siphesihle said this means so much to him, considering that he comes from a TV presenting background.
"Usually, it's a difficult transition for TV presenters to be acknowledged for their acting talents. The moment is still very much unreal, and I'm so grateful because the recognition comes from my home province of KZN," he said.
The awards will be celebrating their 10th anniversary this year.

"I'm proud to be part of this year's list of nominees.
"I'd firstly like to thank Ferguson Films for entrusting me with the role of Mlungisi Khoza and of course, Selimathunzi on SABC1 for allowing me to do TV presenting while shaping my acting career," Siphesihle said.
The actor said for him, the nomination is as good as winning the award, adding that he's dedicating it to his family and those who have supported him throughout his TV career.
"I'm looking out for auditions while I continue to grow as a TV presenter and corporate MC. It's been a great journey for me," Siphesihle said.
The actor urged young people to go all out for their dreams.
"I would encourage them to keep a growth mindset mentality. They must also keep working hard towards their dreams and trust the process," Siphesihle said.
