WEDDING bells ring for Umkhokha's Kini Shandu.
Kini, known for his role as Ndlovu on Mzansi Magic's Umkhokha: The Curse, is marrying Andile Khanyile.
The couple first wedded during a Shembe Church gathering in July at Ebuhleni, north of Durban.
They'll celebrate their traditional wedding at Kini's home in Gingindlovu on the KZN north coast on Sunday, 15 December.
The 39-year-old multi-talented presenter, actor, and businessman, formerly a presenter on SABC1's Daily Thetha and Gagasi FM, told Daily Sun getting married is a dream come true.
"Getting married is the step many dream about in their lives, and I'm happy that I'm finally reaching that stage to be a married man.
"Yes, we got married at church in front of our church leader Inkosi Unyazilwezulu Shembe in July, and that one was the big one, but this traditional wedding is also important to us as it's the one that'll tell my ancestors that I'm officially married," he said.

Kini said it would be a traditional wedding with Shembe Church elements, and they would wear traditional attire.
"I guess those who attend will also wear traditional attire, as Shembe attire is similar to isiZulu attire.
He said singing isiZulu hymns and Shembe songs, blowing horns, and playing drums will be the order of the day.
In April 2023, Kini paid lobola for Andile while conducting a traditional wedding engagement (umkhehlo).
In December of the same year, they held a traditional exchange of gifts (umembeso) at Andile's home in Nongoma, northern KZN.
